In response to an article in the Seattle Times, Dwight asked Susan Sheary from the King County Democrats to have a resolution drafted that could be considered at the January WSDCC meeting. She passed on the request to the LD Chairs in King County, and I passed it on to Sarajane Siegfriedt from our Legislative Action Committee.
The following resolution is what she originally drafted:

RESOLUTION ON RAISING STATE REVENUES TO AVOID DEVASTATING CUTS TO ESSENTIAL SERVICES
The 43rd Legislative District and the King County Democratic Central Committee urge all Districts and Counties to pass the following resolution and contact our Senate and Congressional delegation in Washington, D.C., to support this issue.

Resolution on Warrantless Wiretapping
WHEREAS under the claim of a “war on terror” the Bush administration, through its use of the National
Whereas, there is no higher duty of public officials than to protect, defend and preserve our constitution, and
Whereas, only the members of the United States House of Representatives have the power, authority, and responsibility to bring the president, vice-president and other administration officials to trial for their unconstitutional actions, and
Whereas, impeachment is the only constitutional remedy for holding the Bush administration accountable, and
Judy Carter had the idea of posting a basic resolution template. The 46th District uses this template. Attached to this post is the template for resolutions going to the WSDCC.
