Do you watch TV? Sure you do.
Maybe not a lot of TV, but if you watch any primetime news coverage this week, you'll see political ads asking viewers to call Congressman Adam Smith.
Congressman Smith is one of our Democratic votes for Health Care Reform - the National Chamber of Congress is trying to change that!
The Adam Smith ads are just a part of the $30 million the Chamber and other business groups are spending to try to defeat Health Care Reform. This week's ad campaign is the start of an unprecedented $200 million corporate spending plan for the mid-term elections.
A new political arm of the National Chamber has been formed. "Friends of the Chamber" is modeled after grassroots organizations and was set up to take the Chamber's campaign to defeat Democrats into the districts.
They plan to turn out massive numbers of Republicans and Tea Party protestors at the congressional break meetings in April and use the rallies as organizing tools.
We are preparing to fight back! This week, our State Party Chair announced the creation of a $15,000 Health Care Reform Defense Fund to get ready for the Tea Party and Republican attacks that will be launched during Easter break public meetings. Can you donate just $25 to the Health Care Reform Defense Fund?

If you have not already, please contribute $25, $50, $75, $100 or any amount you can afford – Act today, before the March 31st end-of-the-quarter deadline.
Help us level the playing field and fight back.
